FLY claims victory in trauma center campaign

Fearless Leading by the Youth (FLY), the youth-led program of Chicago grantee STOP, won their campaign to push the University of Chicago to open an adult medical trauma center on their campus in the South Side of Chicago.  Last week, the university announced that it would invest $40 million dollars to open a trauma center at a local hospital in the Marquette Park neighborhood.  After over 5 years of pushing forward their campaign, youth leaders at FLY are finally getting a chance to celebrate victory.  Read more about FLY’s youth advocacy work and their campaign victory here.
